"Entity" filter

Use the "Entity" filter to find out which players make up the ecosystem of your market.

Why use the "Entity" filter?

Entities in your search can be selected to focus on specific ones and analyze their ecosystem.

By entity we mean any identifiable thing. This could be a company, a public figure, a technology, etc.

How does it it work ?

When you select the "Entity" filter, a drop-down list displays the different entities identified and the number of relations associated with each.

You can view 100 entities per page. To view entities not displayed, you can change page by clicking on the arrows at bottom right or by selecting a page number directly at bottom left of the filter.

"Hide ecosystem" option

If an entity is selected, entities directly linked to it will be displayed by default. For example, if I select the entities "CIO", "Atos" and "Coca-Cola" Geotrend will display these three entities as well as their entire ecosystem.

By activating the "Hide ecosystem" option you will only see the links between the selected entities. Activate the toggle directly on the filter and then select the entities normally.

You can activate the "Hide ecosytem" option at the same time on the "Entity" and "Type of entity" filters, but make sure that the two filters are not antithetical to each other, otherwise you won't get any results (for example, strict selection on the "person" actor type, and strict selection on the "Google" and "IBM" entities)

Multiple selection / deselection

To quickly select an entire page of entities, check "Select page", and all 100 entities on the page will be selected. If you wish to select a further 100 entities, change pages and check "Select page" again.

If you wish to quickly deselect entities from page 2 but not from page 1: go to page 2 and click on the orange cross.

If you wish to quickly deselect all entities: click on the red cross next to the label indicating the total number of entities selected.

Find an entity

A search bar is also present at the top of the drop-down list. You can type directly the entities you are looking for.
