You can use the "Currencies" filter to browse through the information mentioning a type of currency within the articles of your search topic.
All the financial figures found in the articles of your search are grouped in the "Key Figures" view. These are represented by colored bubble according to the currency used.
There are 5 different currencies categorized in Geotrend platform:
- USD : USA Dollar
- JPY : Yen
- CNY : Yuan
- GBP: Pound sterling
- EUR : Euro
The "Currencies" filter allows you to filter on one or more of these currencies.
When a currency is not mentioned in any document of your research, this one will be shaded.
The number that appears next to each of them corresponds to the number of relationships that the document with that number has.
When you select one or more currencies, certain sums of other currency(ies) than the selected one(s) may appear. This will happen if two sums are linked within the article.
Example: Here, my article mentions two figures, one in Yuan and the other in US Dollar.
These two figures are present in the same article, so they are related. So, when I filter in the filter bar on the Yuan currency, a bubble in US Dollar indicating "290 USD" will also appear.
The "Currencies" filter will have an impact on every view available on Geotrend, not only on the "Key Figures" view. The Dashboard, the "Relationship" view and all the other ones will be impacted be the use of this filter.
