Geotrend allows you to launch a search using data from a list of URLs you have.
Available only for free and open sources on the web, this search option will produce a datavisualization of your data through a list of URLs you have. Note that there is no analysis of the URLs, we will simply map the links transmitted. Thus, if no actor is detected within a URL, it will simply be ignored.
This search mode is particularly useful if, for example, you have an internal monitoring tool that collects information over time or a database containing many URLs. Geotrend will be able to produce a data visualization of this information and thus save you analysis time.
Please note that:
- This search mode does not work like an RSS aggregator or a complete domain name analysis tool. We don't take into account domain names or sources alone, but rather complete URLs including the path leading to the article.
For example, the URL lemonde.fr will not return relevant results because it is a domain name. On the other hand lemonde.fr/smart-cities/article/2018/05/07/la-smart-city-dessine-une-ville-a-plusieurs-vitesses_5295706_4811534.html will be mapped correctly. - Only documents in text format (web, pdf, text, etc.) are allowed, unlike video, image or audio formats, which are not detectable by our solution for the moment. Geotrend will inform you as soon as it identifies this type of format in your URL list, in order to warn you that they will not be taken into account during the informational analysis.
- Geotrend will not try to determine the relevance of an article and no document will be excluded from the results presented on this ground, as it might be the case usually.
Start the search
Name your search so that it can be easily identified later in your search catalog.
Then integrate your list of URLs into the "Url List" module either by copy/pasting the URLs or by dragging and dropping your list file in CSV format. You can integrate up to 1,000 different URLs, which will then be analyzed by Geotrend's Artificial Intelligence.
As with any document search, actors, relationships, keywords, geographical areas, financial figures and dates will be detected and presented to facilitate your analysis.
Once the search is finalized, all the functionalities present on the platform can be applied: You will be able to add additional URLs, make comparisons or combinations with other searches in your catalog, etc.
