The different filters of a scientific publications search

Exploit the results of a search for scientific publications using the various filters available.

The different filters of the scientific publications search

  • The Actor type filter

    Allows you to filter on a particular type of actor, for example, display the University ecosystem.
    • Actor types specific to the scientific publications search

  • The Relationship filter

    • Types of relationships specific to research scientific publications

Use the pre-sets so that Geotrend can select the right filters for you depending on what you want to display.
  • The Bookmark filter

The "Bookmark" filter allows you to select only the information present in the articles you have "Bookmarked".

  • The Publication date filter

    Allows you to view a publication date curve

  • The Actor filter


    Each of the actors in your search can be selected and used as a filter to achieve a particular focus and analyze the different inter-actor relationships.

    When you select the "Actor" filter, a drop-down list displays the different actors identified as well as the number of mentions associated with each of them.

  • The Keyword filter


    Each keyword in your search can be selected and used as a filter

  • The Country filter

    Allows you to filter on one or several countries in particular

 

Exploiting the results of my search


In order to properly exploit the results of your search, you have two possibilities:

  • The "Expert" mode: this default mode gives you full control over all the filters (seen above) to display the axis you wish to explore.

 

  • The "Supervised" mode: will select for you the right filters corresponding to the use case you wish to exploit.

This option is available in the menu on the right of your screen



3 pre-sets are available (only one pre-set can be selected at a time):

  • Collaboration analysis: allows to visualize the collaborations, i.e. displays the relationships between contributors and their papers
  • Publication analysis: allows to visualize the publications and the contributors
  • Skill transfer analysis: displays the affiliation links between authors and contributing organizations
